 U.S. Forest Service Selects SabiOso as I-Suite Developer

SabiOso will develop the National Incident Management System for the U.S. Forest Service

Clearfield, Utah, August 12, 2003—SabiOso, Inc. today announced that they have been selected by the U.S. Forest Service as the developer of the next generation I-Suite system.  I-Suite is the asset management system deployed by the Forest Service to manage the people, food, equipment and finances at wildfires nationwide.  The system has been used at many other incident sites from ice storms and hurricane/typhoon clean-ups to animal disease eradication and national tragedies.

“SabiOso was the original developer of two of the four modules of I-Suite—the Incident Time System and the Incident Action Plan,” explained Mike Mitchell, SabiOso COO.  “We will now take on development of the entire system which also includes the Incident Cost Accounting and Reporting System and the Incident Resource Status System.  We will also complete work on the database utilities package that merges and manages databases in the austere conditions this system is usually deployed.”

According to Mike Mitchell, COO of SabiOso, Inc., “We are honored to continue our support of the U.S. Forest Service in this important arena.  We are not a household name—yet, but our software work supported the delicate aftermath clean-up of the World Trade Center and Pentagon tragedies, as well as the Space Shuttle Columbia clean-up and study—all incidents the Forest Service was called into to manage.  We never hope to have to use this system, but if it’s needed we want it to be the very best it can be.”
